Truth from the Bible about
Wives

(Proverbs 18:22 KJV)
(22) {Whoso} findeth a wife findeth a good {thing}, and obtaineth favour
of the Lord.

(1 Peter 3:1-7 KJV)
(1) Likewise, ye wives, {be} in subjection to your own husbands; that, if
any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the
conversation of the wives; (2) While they behold your chaste conversation
{coupled} with fear. (3) Whose adorning let it not be that outward
{adorning} of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on
of apparel; (4) But {let it be} the hidden man of the heart, in that which
is not corruptible, {even the ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which
is in the sight of God of great price. (5) For after this manner in the
old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves,
being in subjection unto their own husbands: (6) Even as Sara obeyed
Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well,
and are not afraid with any amazement. (7) Likewise, ye husbands, dwell
with {them} according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto
the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that
your prayers be not hindered.

(Ecclesiastes 9:9 KJV)
(9) Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life
of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy
vanity: for that {is} thy portion in {this} life, and in thy labour which
thou takest under the sun.

(1 Corinthians 7:3 KJV)
(3) Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise
also the wife unto the husband.

(Proverbs 5:18-19 KJV)
(18) Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
(19) {Let her be as} the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts
satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

(Colossians 3:18 KJV)
(18) Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the
Lord.

(Psalms 128:3 KJV)
(3) Thy wife {shall be} as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house:
thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

(Ephesians 5:21-33 KJV)
(21) Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (22) Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. (23) For the
husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:
and he is the saviour of the body. (24) Therefore as the church is subject
unto Christ, so {let} the wives {be} to their own husbands in every thing.
(25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and
gave himself for it; (26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the
washing of water by the word, (27) That he might present it to himself a
glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that
it should be holy and without blemish. (28) So ought men to love their
wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. (29)
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it,
even as the Lord the church: (30) For we are members of his body, of his
flesh, and of his bones. (31) For this cause shall a man leave his father
and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one
flesh. (32) This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the
church. (33) Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his
wife even as himself; and the wife {see} that she reverence {her} husband.

(Proverbs 31:10-31 KJV)
(10) Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price {is} far above rubies.
(11) The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall
have no need of spoil. (12) She will do him good and not evil all the days
of her life. (13) She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with
her hands. (14) She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food
from afar. (15) She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to
her household, and a portion to her maidens. (16) She considereth a field,
and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. (17)
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. (18) She
perceiveth that her merchandise {is} good: her candle goeth not out by
night. (19) She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the
distaff. (20) She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth
forth her hands to the needy. (21) She is not afraid of the snow for her
household: for all her household {are} clothed with scarlet. (22) She
maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing {is} silk and purple.
(23) Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders
of the land. (24) She maketh fine linen, and selleth {it}; and delivereth
girdles unto the merchant. (25) Strength and honour {are} her clothing;
and she shall rejoice in time to come. (26) She openeth her mouth with
wisdom; and in her tongue {is} the law of kindness. (27) She looketh well
to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. (28)
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband {also}, and he
praiseth her. (29) Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest
them all. (30) Favour {is} deceitful, and beauty {is} vain: {but} a woman
{that} feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. (31) Give her of the fruit
of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

(Proverbs 12:4 KJV)
(4) A virtuous woman {is} a crown to her husband: but she that maketh
ashamed {is} as rottenness in his bones.

(Proverbs 14:1 KJV)
(1) Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down
with her hands.

(Proverbs 19:14 KJV)
(14) House and riches {are} the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife
{is} from the Lord.
