Parenthood Synonymous


I held a rosebud
in my hand
And watched each
petal unfold;

I marveled at
the beauty
And wonder
which it told.

In my arms
I held a babe,
Treasure of
the earth;

Tightly I clasped
its form-
The miracle
of birth.

The rose bud
as the babe;
The babe
as unblown rose;

Each will
unfold glory
That heaven
only knows.
