Loneliness...
I'm lonely.  What can I do?

Psalm 23:4  Even when I walk through the dark valley of death... you are close beside me...

Psalm 139:17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God!....

Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but even then I will remain loyal to you...

Recognize that you are not unlovable or deficient just because you are lonely.  You have value because God
made you, loves you, and promises never to leave you.

Exodus 5:20-23  The foremen said to them, "May the LORD judge you for getting us into this terrible
situation...So Moses went back to the Lord and protested..."Why did you send me?" Don't  give up on God
when you are lonely.  This will cause you to feel sorry for yourself, become discouraged, and fall prey to
temptation.

Matthew 11:2-3 John the Baptist, who was now in prison...sent his disciples to ask Jesus, "Are you really the
Messiah we've been waiting for, or should we keep looking for someone else?"

1 Peter 4:19 So if you are suffering according to God's will, keep on doing what is right, and trust yourself to
the God who made you, for he will never fail you.

Sometimes we feel alone in our stand for Christ.  We can take comfort in knowing that there are others whoare
equally committed and that God rewards our bold commitment.

Romans 12:5 And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the
others.  Put yourself around other believers.  Get involved in a local church.

Isaiah 41:10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you.  Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you.
I will help you.  I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

John 14:1 Don't be troubled.  You trust God, now trust in me.

Loneliness can cause us to be afraid.  But God calms our fears.

Has everyone deserted me?

Exodus 6:12 "But LORD!" Moses objected.  "My own people won't listen to me anymore..."

Psalm 27:10 Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.

Proverbs 18:24 There are "friends" who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

Deuteronomy 31:6  Be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid of them!  The LORD your God will go
ahead of you.  He will neither fail you nor forsake you.

Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you.  He trusts out
the enemy before you...

Psalm 147:3  He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds.

People we depend on sometimes desert us, abandon us, turn away from us.  There maybe only a few people
we can truly count on-at times there may not be any.  But one we can always count on is God;  he will NEVER
abandon us.

How can I help those who are lonely?

3 John 1:5-8  You are doing a good work for God when you take care of the traveling teachers who are
passing through.

James 1:27  We must care for orphans and widows in their troubles...

Invite them into your home and befriend them.

PROMISE FROM GOD:  Hebrews 13:5 For God has said, " I will never fail you.  I will never forsake
you."
