"Can You Be Still?"

The other day, I was drawn to a scripture that was on my "Screen Saver" on my computer. I had placed this on my
computer a few weeks ago. Although I chose this particular scripture, and had read it many times before in the
past, it seemed to jump out at me, and take on a whole NEW meaning to me on this particular day.
The scripture was Psalm 46:10, Be still, and know that I am God.
But that is not how the Lord interpreted it to me that morning. This is how he spoke it to me. He immediately
showed me as child, you know how when a child will wants his or her own way? How they may stomp their feet,
raise their voice, cry all at the same time? He first showed me that, then I pictured his hand come before me across
my chest.
He gently said, Be still................(paused) take a deep breath.
In a strong voice, and KNOW (recognize, understand, realize)
In a even stronger voice, that I AM (NOT YOU, I am presently, right now, during all the chaos, and quiet times,
moving, working where you can not see right now).....
FIRM Loving voice, GOD. (You are NOT God, you alone do not have the power to change your situation, you
alone, do not have the power to change someone)
He said, stop trying to be God in your situation. Stop trying to figure things out, strop trying to go ahead of my plan,
before you mess things up. I AM in control, I DO see your needs and your desires. TRUST ME! Be still, really
know, that I am GOD over your situation! Don't worry, be still, rest in me. I will not leave you helpless.
I just about leaped out of my chair! I have a whole new revelation on this particular scripture. What a relief to know
that I can rest in him. Even though I may not see the end result of what the Lord is doing, I know he is working on
my behalf.
He is working on your behalf also. He sees you when you cry out, stomp your feet and raise your voice to him,
wondering if he is still there. He knows. Rest in him today, he cares so much. Can you be still?
